History of Sikhs in Canada

In 20^th century, the first Sikhs came to Canada. To celebrate the Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, the first Sikhs arrived in Canada as a part of army regiments in 1897. Around 5000 Sikhs in Canada  established themselves and the very first Sikh Gurdwara was built in 1908.
